Astana's Levi Leipheimer won Friday's 14 mile time trial at the Cascade Cycling Classic, vaulting into the lead of the race.
Leipheimer defeated BMC's Jeff Louder by 1:15, BMC's Darren Lill by 1:20 and Bissell's Tom Zirbel by 1:35. Leipheimer passed his two-minute man, Rock Racing's Santiago Botero, before the turn-around of the race.
Leipheimer took over the first place on GC, ahead of Zirbel, Louder and Toyota-United's Chris Baldwin.
